It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Studio HE. Our project was a renovation of an entire property, a newly purchased two bedroom apartment in Bermondsey Street, London, including designs for a new kitchen, two bathrooms and a bespoke work/study joinery piece.
We were delighted with their enthusiasm and fresh ideas for our project, and their ability to understand our various needs as a family. They were willing to address all aspects of the work, from strong initial design ideas to overseeing the budget and liaising with the contractors, as well as numerous extras like sourcing furnishings and co-ordinating deliveries. At each stage, we were consulted but not overloaded, and a carefully curated set of design options was offered which wholly met our brief. Their flexibility, creativity and helpfulness were critical to the success of the project.
The budget was well managed, communication was exemplary and various issues with the contractors were addressed and resolved.
Studio HE have given us a beautiful, intelligent space in which to live and work. We love the design, it works seamlessly and we have been particularly impressed by the attention to detail, both practical and aesthetic.

Hubert Green (one of the founders of Studio HE (S /HE) was our acting project architect for the full reconstruction of our London Residence.
As our project architect we found Hubert to be passionate, diligent and creative with great ideas. He ensured that finally we've been delivered an exceptional house. He not only manage the project (like a traditional architect) but also helped to design (very creatively) certain bespoke elements within our house.
Always keen and responsible to put us first and to cater to our needs, he kept a link between us, the contractor and all other consultants and ensured high levels/standards were maintained throughout the project.

I engaged Studio HE as a first-time buyer to decorate my warehouse conversion apartment in Bermondsey. They did a fantastic job from the beginning to the end and turned my flat into a great home, achieving its full potential. Within days of our first meeting, they sent me a detailed and fair quote, as well as an outline of their ideas.
Throughout the refurbishment and renovation, they were always quick to respond to queries and dealt with all issues efficiently. They organised building control approval for me and were on site for furniture deliveries, relieving me from responsibilities during a hectic time.
The builders Studio HE employed did a great job too, leaving me with no complaints or damage. Finally, the project stayed under budget, leaving me with praise only for Hubert and Elin - I hope to work with them on another project in the future!

We chose S/ HE to design our new family home in Sevenoaks/Ide Hill, which involved the renovation of an old bungalow in an AONB. Based on their previous work and our introductory meetings, we felt their design aesthetic matched ours - clean lines achieved without sacrificing the warmth of a family dwelling, architectural center pieces to draw the eye without imposing on the overall design, practicality, and a high quality finish. Almost as importantly, they were clearly energised by their work, and we knew we could rely on them to deliver the project.
Our initial assessments were proven correct, and more:
- S/ HE delivered a beautiful home, which is not just wonderfully built, but a place we truly want to live in;
- They listened and sought to understand our tastes, needs and desires. They then guided us through and executed on a design which achieved all these within our budget and the strictures of an AONB(Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty)
- In respect of project implementation and management, they were exemplary with:
- The identification and selection of builders;
- The permission process and dealings with local authorities
- The sourcing and choice of materials and fittings;
- The supervision of all project elements and teams;
- Maintaining open consultation with us throughout the process, but in a balanced manner - they correctly identified which decisions needed to pass through us;
- The above was particularly important as we moved to the Netherlands just as the build started. We had no concerns about our inability to be on site and control the project - we knew we could trust S/ HE;
- The project was delivered on time and on budget, and without any material issues or surprises thanks to their detailed planning;
- Lastly, we truly enjoyed working with them - they are creative, committed to their work, and to their clients.
